About OhioQuits
OhioQuits, is the Ohio Tobacco Prevention Foundation's statewide toll-free telephone counseling service, funded with monies secured from the national Master Settlement Agreement between tobacco companies and 46 states. Available free of charge to all Ohio residents and healthcare providers, QUIT LINE provides individualized tobacco-quitting guidance from trained, experienced counselors. It is operated by National Jewish Medical and Research Center, Denver, Colorado, which has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as the #1 respiratory hospital in America every year since 1998. All materials created for healthcare providers are reviewed and endorsed by an 18-member Healthcare Professional Advisory Panel.
About the Ohio Tobacco Prevention Foundation The Ohio Tobacco Prevention Foundation (OTPF) was created by the Ohio General Assembly in 2000 and is funded with monies secured from the national Master Settlement Agreement (MSA) by tobacco companies. OTPF''s mission is to reduce and prevent tobacco use by Ohioans. Its vision is to be the most effective tobacco-control agency in the U.S., while creating a tobacco-free Ohio. OTPF programs include the distribution of community grants, the operation of OhioQuits at 1-800-QUIT-NOW, and stand, Ohio’s tobacco use counter-marketing campaign.
